14th Annual Bridal Showcase 970 WATH and WXTQ-Power 105 in conjunction with the Athens Community Center presented the 14th annual Bridal Show on Sunday February 28th at the Athens Community Center. Bridal Showcase 2010 is Southeast Ohio’s premier wedding expo featuring a variety of exhibits. Regional and local businesses displayed their products and services to those who may be getting married within the next few years, renewing their vows, taking a second honeymoon, or assisting a friend or family member with wedding plans. In addition to a wide variety of vendor displays, the event featured a bridal fashion show presented by Andreas Bridal Shop from Jackson, Ohio. All guests were able to register to win hundreds of dollars worth of door prizes. And Brides and Grooms registered for the Grand Prize, A Wonderful Lovers Weekend for Two including tickets to numerous Cincinnati Ohio attractions, a 2 night stay at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza with dinner for 2 in the Orchids at Palm Court. Reds Fans! Athens came out in full force Friday January 29th at the Market On State for the 2010 Cincinnati Reds Caravan. As 970 WATH and Power 105 welcomed Marty Brennaman, Fox Sports Chris Welch, Assistant G.M. Bob Miller, 2nd Baseman Brandon Phillips, Minor League Infielder Zack Cozart and former Red Glenn Braggs (from the 1990 World Championship team) . All the guys took questions about the Upcoming Season, gave Autographs and Photographs. Thank you for coming out to greet the Reds! The season officially begins Monday April 5th on your Home Of The Reds, our sister station 970 WATH.

Chili Bowl 2009 The Power 105 and 970 WATH 26th Annual Chili Bowl Cook-Off was held SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10TH, 2009 from Noon - 3pm at the Market On State on East State Street. 182 gallons of chili was cooking! We had the best chili recipes in Athens with an estimated 1000 chili tasters! The Chili Bowl is an annual event organized by WATH/WXTQ Radio as a fundraiser for a local charity. All proceeds from this years Chili Bowl from all entry fees, t-shirt sales and soft drink sales will benefit Hocking-Athens-Perry Community Action Food Center. Thank You For Joining Us For The... Power 105 and 970 WATH along with a long list of area businesses helped you with a head start on the holidays at the 3rd Annual Holiday Food and Gift Show. The event took place Sunday November 15th from 1-4 pm at the Ohio University Inn and Conference Center. The show was FREE to the Public and you were able to register for some great prizes including a 5lb basket of Chocolate from Bloomer Candy Company, a Doll from Lloyd Middleton Doll Factory and a Fully Decorated 6.5 foot Christmas tree from Stahls Nursery and Christmas Shop in Little Hocking.
